Our Team


The VanTubergen & Treutler firm was created in July of 2003 with the merger of solo practitioners Michael T. VanTubergen and Carl W. Treutler.  Prior to merger, each attorney had been in successful individual practice in the Grand Haven area.  We have maintained a successful legal service to West Michigan clients since combining resources.   As a full service law firm, we cover a wide range of activity in our firm.  From Bankruptcy, Business services, Criminal Defense, Divorce/Family Law, Estate Planning to Probate work and many other areas we provide clients with legal services or refer clients to other reputable legal resources in the area.  The growth of our firm has encompassed hiring Brian J. Sypniewski as an associate attorney in 2006.   Each member of the firm has strong local ties with the Grand Haven area for many years.  That familiarity with the local community and its unique resources is a treasured asset our clients enjoy in legal services we provide.  As local citizens and attorneys, we are rooted in our histories and are committed as VanTubergen & Treutler to continued excellence in the future.
